DebatabL is an exciting platform that allows users to engage in meaningful debates and discussions on a wide variety of topics.
If you're looking to host a debate or discussion and not sure where to start, here's a simple guide to help you set up your event.

1. Click on the "+" Icon
To begin hosting your own debate or discussion, the first step is to log into your DebatabL account. Once you're in, you'll notice a "+" icon at the bottom or top of your screen. Clicking on this icon allows you to initiate the process of hosting a new room.

2. Click on "Host Rooms"
After clicking the "+" icon, you'll be prompted with a few options. Look for the “Host Rooms” option and click it. This is where you get to set up your virtual space for the event, giving you control over the format and structure of your debate or discussion.

3. Select "Debate" or "Discussion", Category, and Language
DebatabL gives you flexibility in choosing between a structured debate with sides or a more open-ended discussion. Select the option that best suits the nature of your topic.
Once you've selected the format, choose the relevant category from various available options and specify the language in which the debate or discussion will be held.
This ensures your event reaches the right audience and participants feel comfortable engaging in the conversation.

4. Write the Topic of Choice and Sides for Debate
Now it’s time to outline the key issue or question you'll be tackling in your debate or discussion. Be clear and specific. If it's a debate, you'll also need to write down the sides for participants to argue for or against. Make sure both sides of the argument are balanced and open for interpretation to encourage a healthy exchange of ideas. After writing, you can take help of AI with the "Beautify with AI" button to get options for rephrasing the topic.
Example:
Topic: Is social media more harmful than beneficial?
Sides:
Yes
No

5. Write a Small Description for the Topic
After setting up your topic and sides, write a brief description that provides more context about the debate or discussion. This description will give potential participants a clearer understanding of what they can expect from the event and why the topic is worth discussing. Try to keep it concise but engaging. You can use the refresh button to take help of AI to refresh the description.
Example: "This debate explores whether social media has a negative or positive impact on society, considering factors such as mental health, misinformation, and connectivity. Join us as we dive into both sides of the argument."

6. Start Now or Schedule for Later
DebatabL provides you with the option to start the debate immediately or schedule it for a later date. If you want to give people time to join, scheduling for a later date might be more practical. Select the time and date that works best for you and your intended participants.

7. Upload Images and Host
Finally, you have the option to upload images relevant to your debate or discussion. These can include visual aids, infographics, or anything else that might enhance the experience. Once you've uploaded your images and reviewed the setup, you're ready to host your debate or discussion.

By following these simple steps, you can easily start a compelling and engaging debate or discussion on DebatabL, helping you and others explore new perspectives on topics that matter.
